Julia Meets Meigan

Meigan and Julia
Today is Claudia's house warming party at her new home in JLT. It is the first time that I drove the car and Sonnie took care of Julia in the backseat. We had a good time, Julia was giggling the minute we arrived. She seemed so happy to see a little girl like her. It's my first time to meet Bergy, Claudia's american bulldog. Oh how loud he barks! But Julia seemed to love it, she was laughing out so loud and I am just so happy to see my little one so happy and also having a good time. =) Good food cooked by Meigan's dad Brian, Ada's hubby. I loved the buko pandan, I ate like heaps and heaps.

and of course, Julia pooped again at the best timing. =)

Broken Hearted Today, I wrote this as my FB status.

if you have time, please read this. especially to my colleagues and friends, who are too busy to be healthy, when i say healthy, i mean to have themselves checked by a doctor and not just shake hunches off with a wince. being healthy doesn't mean going to the gym and eating just salads in the aircraft, it doesn't just mean that you don't eat casseroles and avoid hot meals, it doesn't just mean putting chia seeds in your bottle of water. It means being aware and not taking any symptom for granted! Oftentimes, as cabin crew, we worry most about the simplest of sicknesses like colds for example, about not being able to fly because of it, about having eardrums explode during take off and landing and about having to press 2 because of it. We are concerned about how many times we have pressed 2 and we are concerned about how many incidents of Sk we've had. As soon as we take clarinase and colds are gone, we are back to being our happy selves. Rarely do we fly with colleagues who'd talk about pap smears and other tests. It is something so personal yet extremely IMPORTANT! I read this blog today and I am so deeply touched at how much she is sharing her own personal struggles and experiences in order for us to be AWARE. AWARENESS IS KEY. I have a very close family friend who is battling breast cancer, and I remember her telling me, it was JUST a LUMP. and it turned out to be stage 3 Breast Cancer. It could have been a whole lot of a different story if she had herself checked immediately and had second or third even twentieth opinion from a specialist.  I maybe a little crazy and paranoid when it comes to symptoms and all but I guess nowadays, you owe it to yourself to go to the doctor and have proper check up when you have this gut-feel that something is wrong. sigh. get well soon Naomi!
