How I Met My Sonnie

Today I woke up and this guy once again pops up in my head, like every single day of my crazy but happy life. He is annoying, non assuming, kind, loving, ok ok he will be disappointed if I dont mention handsome, and most of all sort of disgusting. You all know him by Sonnie, my hubby. =)

Today I am in my bed in Germany and the weather is negative 4, so I long for his embrace, and the annoying warmth of his breath through my ears. I miss him.

So let me tell you, Here's how I met my hubby.

One night, I was drunk, I met this guy named Sonnie. lol, just kidding. It was June, Ok, so I was drunk, and I was at this party at my friend Beth's house. Evryone was getting drunk just like me. And I wouldnt be able to recognize anybody if you ask me, so that's not how I remember meeting Sonnie. Days before that party I screwed my laptop. And my friend knew about it. Out of nowhere, Cris Jun was calling me, he said Rio, we've got IT guys in the party, call them they can probably fix your laptop. So I looked at all three of the guys he was pointing at. My first glimpse of at my future hubby! They all looked nerdy to me, except this one with the glasses looked extra bit more like a nerd. Ok, I'll call when I'm sober.

The next morning, I couldn't go on the internet and so I called one of the guys. Took my laptop and returned it, it was still screwed. I was not impressed. And so they said, wait, there's this guy, he is really damn good with computers, maybe he can fix it. So I was like, whatever, just get it done already!

My computer was returned by Sonnie. Wearing a big polo and his glasses, and the biggest pile of hair ive ever seen! So, he explained blah blah blah what happened and explained again blah blah blah how it worked again. All I cared about was that I could use it again =) And as a normal decent person, of course, I offered to pay. And he wouldnt take the cash, he said, he'll take a dinner, as payment. His choice of restaurant. And I said why not.

I was meeting this guy, I was treating him for dinner in what turned out to be our first date! Thinking about it now, makes me smile, at how I fell in love with this stingy person who would exchange services for a date! He turned out to be an opportunist as he brought me to an expensive Japanese place and ordered a meal that was worth more the services he rendered. Normally, I would have been pissed, but, I had fun that night. =) That was the first and only time he made me pay for our date, he is a complete gentleman. We went out again, and again and again. And a few more dates, I fell in love. And when I did, I finally asked his age, and by then could not back out anymore. hahaha. he turned out to be the man I would really really love honest, kind, and very generous too, my computer went broken and then ok and then broken again, he bought me a new one that I'm still using typing this very blog. The computer may be old now, but I love it and the memories that comes with it, I just can't let go. Although a macbook pro for my birthday will probably make the letting go easier. =)

Sonnie was my boyfriend for 2 and a half years when he proposed on the night of April 8, while I was half asleep coming back from a teriible flight that had rejected take off twice. He was all sweaty and grrr, annoying, when he whispered Beh and slipped the ring on my finger and asked me, will you marry me? I felt the rock, turned all the lights bright, saw how beautiful the ring was, and then I said YES! =) hahahaa just so me! =) And it just so Sonnie as well, no drama or outrageous proposal, it was exactly what a stingy person would do, propose at home! just kidding. I was looking through his computer and gone through this One Notes when I saw his journal, and read how he found the perfect ring =) It took him a while to find the perfect one, and how he had it customised to suit me. And how he's had the ring for a while and that he wanted to propose on my birthday this and that but couldnt find the timing to do so. Sorry beh, I cracked the password long time ago.

And then we got married after all the fuss that came with it. It was the happiest day of my life =) Our wedding day would always be my "happy place" forever. I could go back to it any day and I would still feel the happiness in my heart.

And now, we've been married two years and 14 days, still annoying each other more and more. Some days are bearable and most days are just lovable. As long as we're together, we will be building memories, investing in fond and memorable memories, growing old, although I grow older earlier, as long as we're together.

I miss you beh. Today i miss you so bad I had to write this to make me feel better. I love you. please don't leave your socks on the floor. Thanks!
